BIO
Ronald Glassman has more than 25 years experience as a photographer, beginning his career in the 1980s as a photojournalist. He was soon covering New York State and national politics. He has covered presidential inaugurations and served as the personal photographer for a U.S. Senator and a Governor. His work has appeared in all NY newspapers and national magazines. As his work evolved he has turned his talents to corporate photography. He now spends more time photographing for annual reports, brochures and portraiture. His demand for excellence, ability to work under pressure and cooperative personality has brought him a wide range of clients. Directors of Communication and Art Directors trust his creative instincts and find collaborating on projects a trouble-free process. His clients include non-profit organizations, private industry and companies with national exposure.
Ron has a B.A. from Hampshire College and a M.F.A. from Columbia University. He spent two years as an apprentice filmmaker at the Gray Film Atelier, learning all facets of film production with Paul Gray. Ron has been the principal cinematographer on a number of independent features and short films and has also taught screenwriting on the college level. His cinematography experience helped him develop his eye and his insight into story structure has proved to be a valuable asset in photography where the single image tells the story. He is a member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) and serves on the board of the CT Chapter of ASMP.
